Radio Islanders

Radio Islanders is the radio station for the Polish community living in East Anglia region. We give the Polish community information about what’s on locally, we would like to integrate our community with life in this region. That’s why we have started working with different agencies to show that living in England gives us a lot of opportunities and possibilities to be part of bigger society. We don’t want to ignore anything that could be interesting and helpful to us, and to others. We want to engage listeners from a very early age right up until they are 70, 80, 90 and even older.

We also want to give something to our British Friends. We wish to share our values, heritage and achievements from our long history. FaNs is an important part of our project. It gives us the opportunity to engage with older people living in care homes, help with translation and volunteering. This is the beginning of our journey but in our opinion, together we can achieve much more to understand each other.  For more information go to www.islandersradio.co.uk
